FAQ
1.Do we have to have group pictures?
No, of course not. Many couples loath the thought of them and I fully understand why! It is up to you, but do warn your families if you propose not to have any formal shots as it may well be them that object and possibly ask.
2.How much time goes into the wedding photography?
A minimum of 60 hours is spent on each wedding.
Each image is individually adjusted for contrast, colour and minor retouching is performed. For example blemishes or marks on the dress are removed. Photographs are usually ready three weeks after the wedding, in peak season please allow four weeks
3.Are you digital?
I use digital cameras with quality Nikon lens. Digital offers many advantages, including the ability to photograph in colour and then convert to black and white. It allows complete creative control, as I’m free to enhance images in the computer afterwards. The quality of professional digital cameras is superb and gives beautiful prints.
4.Do we have to meet you to book you?
Not at all. It does help, so we can recognize each other at the wedding for a start, but I am well aware that busy lifestyles and distant locations can sometimes make this difficult. I have done many weddings without meeting the couples beforehand and it has always been completely fine because we have had telephone calls and e-mails to discuss everything.
5.Do you visit the wedding locations before the day?
Generally, no. I don’t find it helps. I always visit the sites but on the morning of the wedding so it is all fresh in my mind and I can plan the day according to the circumstances at the time.
6.What if it rains?
On the unlucky event that it does rain, this need not spoil your photographs. With documentary style photography, the rain is part of the day and so part of the photography.
7.What happens if You’re ill?
In the unusual event of illness, I have other wedding photographers that can be called upon
8.How do I book?
In order to do my best and give you my full attention, I only photograph one wedding per day. I do a select number of weddings per year, so early booking is advisable.
Most couples like to come and meet me to talk through their requirements and how the photography will work on the day. However if this is not possible due to long distance or commitments, you can also E-mail / Phone via this website
